New Bible Study

Epic of Eden, Understanding the Old Testament

If you've ever been confused about how the stories of the Old Testament all fit together, and how they fit with the New Testament (let's be honest we are all confused by the Old Testament), this is the class for you.  This 12 week class will introduce us to the world in which the stories of the Old Testament happened and more importantly it will show us how all the stories are integral pieces of God's Redemption Story. Dr. Richter is a highly sought after professor in the Old Testament, having taught at Asbury Theological Seminary. This class asks the student to read a short bit of Scripture and accompanying questions 5 days a week, then there is a 15-20 minute video presentation, and then discussion. Let Pastor Danielle know if you would like to participate in this class. Classes will be Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00, they begin February 5 and will run until April 30 (with March 12 off for Spring Break).

Senior High Youth Fundraiser

Our Senior High Youth are going to Benton Harbor, Michigan this summer (June 21) for their Mission Trip. On February 24, right after church, they will be selling plates of spaghetti as a fundraiser. The plates will all be to-go and by donation.  So plan on eating spaghetti for lunch that day and make sure to spread the word around town so our kids can be blessed to be a blessing on mission.

Confirmation Class

We are working on the logistics to offer a Confirmation class this spring. If you have a student who is ready for this time to explore the faith for themselves before making a public commitment of their own faith in Jesus Christ, please contact Pastor Danielle.  (I think the tentative time for this will be Sundays from 4-5, right before Jr high youth group - but it is still up in the air).
