After his military service he returned to North Dakota where he managed a music store, performed and managed a band. While in North Dakota Bil met his wife, Cam. She became involved in the music business as well and is still a major part of the music ministry.
Bil and Cam have three grown children and six grandchildren. They have lived in North Dakota, Colorado, and Texas, where they have managed cattle, bison, and horse ranches. They've always performed music.
They both feel blessed to be a part of the United Methodist Church in Karnes County. They lead the Adult Choir, the Praise Band, and Worship.
Worship music currently includes a mixture of guitar, bass, piano, drums, banjo, mandolin, organ (played by Bobby Douglas), and a host of wonderful voices. Music selection ranges from traditional hymns, to contemporary Christian music, country, and gospel.
Come join us. We look forward to worshiping with you!
Katy Gonzales is a hometown girl who moved away about 20 years ago to pursue school, career and family. She is a graduate of Karnes City High School class of 2000 and received her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2007 from San Antonio College.
She and her family moved back home about 5 years ago and she has been our Wesley Nurse for the last 4 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart Jesse and together they have 3 wild and crazy boys. The oldest is Jacob who is 12, Justin is 6 and Jace is 4. They live on a ranch near Pawnee and enjoy anything related to the outdoors.
Katy is extremely passionate about her nursing ministries which include the local food bank, another non-profit group called the Circle of Angels and anything that can help the community live a healthier lifestyle. She works closely with the county hospital, Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital, as well as our sliding scale clinic, Karnes Community Health Center. She assists many patients in our community with obtaining access to healthcare which includes anything medical, dental, mental health and even spiritual health. The one thing that she wants people to know about her is that she has always wanted to be a nurse since she was a little girl. Her choice in careers has never changed over all of these years. Her heart has always been called to helping others and the opportunity to serve this community is being made possible by Methodist Healthcare Ministries and The United Methodist Church.
